Why am I getting an error message in my Shopping Cart when I am trying to purchase a Parent & Tot or a Raindrops class?

These particular classes require (at minimum) one child and one parent/adult registered in order to check out. There is a matching **PARENT** class for each paid class. Make sure that you've purchased the **PARENT** class (there is no fee for this class except the Gymnastics Ontario Fee at checkout) - you may need to "Add Participant", if the adult registering is not already there.

Remember, each participant needs their own insurance, so if multiple adults want to be able to come to the parent and tot classes, they will each need to purchase the additional Gymnastics Ontario Subscription.

How do I add an additional parent/adult to a Parent & Tot or Raindrop class?

There are two ways to add a second or third adult alternate that can come to class with the child. You can simply purchase another **PARENT** class from the registration list OR you at checkout. At checkout, there is a Purchase Subscription option at the top of your cart, select that and then Add a Gymnastics Ontario Insurance to your cart; you will need to select the new participant from either the existing list or by adding a new one.

What if a course isn't available in our language of preference?

We try to offer a balance of french and english programs, but it's not always possible. We have a good array of coaches who can speak both languages and because of this, we're really able to accommodate an alternate language within an alternate class. It's even possible that once classes start, the Head Coach may access the classes and move around children to more appropriately with a skill level or a language type.

Please keep the above in consideration when you are registering.

Registration Fees & Discounts

What are the program fees?

Each participant must purchase the Gymnastics Ontario Insurance + HST.

Program fees are:

Raindrops       $ 100
Parent & Tot    $ 175
KinderGym      $ 200
CanGym 5/8    $ 200
Advanced        $ 385

Are there any discounts for registering multiple children?

Yes. We offer a 20% on a third child or more. The 20% is always applied to the lowest program fee in your cart and will apply to each program over the third child.

Gymnastics Seasons

*
When does the regular gymnastics season start?

Our regular season runs mid-late September through to mid-late March. Our regular classes are on Saturdays only. The advanced class takes place on Friday nights.

The calendar varies a little year to year, but members can expect that classes will run most Saturdays as long as it is not a holiday weekend, a school closure (since we use St.Joseph Elementary school), or there is inclement weather. Each year, we will send out the course schedule before classes start.

Do you ever run a Spring session?

This is something that will vary year to year; because we use the school we depend on their availability. We will try to give as much notice as possible when registration for a spring session is possible.

Another factor is our coaches. Many of our coaches are students and get busy around the Spring with proms, grads, exams, etc. so we're not able to gauge too far in advance if a Spring session could be staffed.

Cancellations

*
What is the cancellation policy?

We're a very small, local recreational club; Because of this, we must limit the length of time we can offer refunds. This is to ensure we have enough full time students to support our club fees and expenses. The Gymnastics Ontario fee is not refundable.

Our policy is as follows and is based on the class schedule, not on the classes attended
0-3 classes : Full refund less Gymnastics Ontario Fee
4-5 classes : 50% refund less G Ont. Fee
6 or more classes : No refund

What happens on days of extreme weather or location closure?

Program fees cover 20 classes a season. The club tries to build in possible "buffer" days to our schedule. What this means is that the students may get one or two extra courses a season if no cancellations OR it may mean that we make up missed classes towards the end of the season. If for some unforeseen reason, we are not able to make up extra classes, there will be no pro-rated refund or alternate days offered.

Location & Contact Info.

*
Where are you located?

The club has no "physical mailing address". We rely on the generous use of the Gymnasium at St.Joseph Elementary, in Russell.

I'm having issues or I have questions, how can I get in touch with you?

The club is run by volunteer board members; to protect their privacy we do not give out phone numbers or email addresses. The club does have a private email russellrainbowgymnastics@gmail.com that you can contact us at. We check our club email AT LEAST once a week during down time. When registration starts, we make sure to check our emails more frequently to make sure there are no issues or that questions are being answered.

You can also follow us on Facebook. We will often post important information and upcoming events there.
